I participated in the World Dance Showdown 2026 in Sounthbend, Indiana. I had fun despite the competetion nerves and the series of events to follow. I met some amazing people, and will be returning next year.

I was not prepared for the volume of people, the amount of dancing, and the crazy costuming options. But now I know that we can really get into this event and definitely can pack more outfits and go all out.

My Placements in the competitions

Sweatheart's Blues pattern partner 6th

I like the way you work it intermediate line dance 38th

Big trucks big tires intermediate line dance 36th

I aint mad beginner line dance 49th

Instructor Competition 10th with a silver ranking

I will be bringing a team with me next time and doing more workshops than competing. Lots of cool things coming to this event next year and I cant wait to see what they are going to do!

On a side note: yes, we got stranded for 4 days due to a breakdown in our vehicle, but we made it back and learned to rent a vehicle.
